Advent IT

Advent IT implements software solutions in the areas of medical research, business communications and administration. We provide whole solutions based on database technology which enable our customers to gather, collate and report their data in innovative ways. Our projects vary from creating medical registries with web data-entry and statistical analysis to developing business administration systems incorporating electronic communications.

Advent IT is looking for a gifted, flexible and self-motivated software professional to join and contribute to the success of our business. The successful applicant will have proven experience of programming from specification to implementation and will be adept at developing new projects in a Microsoft environment.

Job description

Skill range

The role is ideal for a recent graduate with structured programming experience including some .NET development either from your employment or from your studies. You will be interested in web technologies and databases and will be passionate about communicating your ideas to colleagues and clients. Having a sense of humour and a ‘can-do’ attitude are essential as you will be liaising with and supporting our clients as well as writing lots of code. Our company’s role is to take technical problems away from our clients and deliver solutions. You will be integral in providing the solutions.

Essential Skills

• Structured programming experience
• Ability to think and program logically and methodically
• Demonstrable .NET development experience ideally in C#
• A keen interest in web technologies and databases
• A good degree or equivalent in a computing related discipline
• Ability to structure and develop projects
• At ease dealing with clients
• Ability to provide telephone support for clients
• Ability to clearly communicate your ideas
• A ‘can-do’ attitude with ability to multi-task
• Feeling passionate about your work
• A sense of humour
