Our projects

Here are examples of projects that we have completed in the sectors of health; research; education and commerce.

Project: Database merge and enhanced reporting for the KTP database
Customer: DTI Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

The KTP database contains information on all University and Industry Partnerships sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry and others.

Project: Development of the National Joint Registry
Customer: National Joint Registry (NJR)

The NJR is a database developed following a NHS requirement to record all hip and knee replacement operations in England and Wales since April 2003.

Project: Upgrade of databases to use the standard International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, 3rd Edition (ICD-O-3)
Customer: National Registry of Childhood Tumours (NRCT)

The NRCT contains all Childhood Tumours registered in England Wales and Scotland since 1962.

Project: Development of the myelodysplasia registry
Customer: Myelodysplasia Register

Myelodysplasia is a form of pre-leukaemia which is extremely rare in children. The register is a database of the presentation and therapy of all children who have been registered with Myelodysplasia since January 1990.

Customer: Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children Haemophilia Centre

The centre treats children with haemophilia in London and the South East with referrals from Africa, the Middle East and Russia, as well as elsewhere in the UK and Europe. The database records clinical and therapeutic data on the children for use in their day-to-day care and management and for research.

Customer: Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children Cystic Fibrosis Centre

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder affecting the mucus lining of the lungs. The database stores data on children treated at the hospital recording their progress and therapy.

Customer: Gordonstoun School

Gordonstoun School is renowned for preparing students for a full and active role as international citizens in a changing world. The database is used for school administration with modules to handle student academic reports including ‘end-of-term’ reports.

Customer: Turweston flight Centre

Turweston flight Centre is based in Northampton near Silverstone and deals with light aviation; air taxis and flight training. Their database manages air movements; fuel sales and outputs business reports and invoices.

Merton College is one of three ancient Oxford colleges founded in the thirteenth century. Their database is used for member administration keeping track of alumni. One of the database reports is the famous ‘Merton College Register’ which is a year book.

Project: Ongoing Development of a Laboratory Information Management System
Customer: Retinoblastoma Genetic Screening Unit

The Laboratory Information Management System will enable the data entry and management of all cases registered for screening at the Retinoblastoma Genetic Screening Unit.

Project: Design of the National Health Promotion in Hospitals Audit data entry system
Customer: Stepping Hill Hospital

The health promotion in hospitals audit will discover how fully NHS hospitals are screening for risk factors and disseminating health promotion information to patients.
